Commodities Unfiltered is an independent research site. This page explains how we make money and, more importantly, the line we draw between that and what we publish.
How the site earns
Some links on this site may be affiliate or referral links, which means we can earn a commission or referral fee if you sign up for or purchase something after clicking — at no additional cost to you. We may also earn revenue from advertising or sponsorships. Where a post contains affiliate links, we aim to make that clear at the point it matters.
What money never buys
Our editorial coverage is not for sale. A commercial relationship — affiliate, advertiser, or sponsor — never determines whether we cover a company, what we conclude about it, or how we present the numbers. We do not accept payment to write favorably about a stock, a project, or a product, and we do not publish “sponsored research” dressed up as analysis. If we ever run genuinely sponsored content, it will be labeled as such and kept separate from our reporting.
Why this matters here
Commodities coverage online is crowded with bullion-dealer blogs and promotional newsletters that exist to move product. We built this site to be the opposite: analysis grounded in primary documents — earnings calls, regulatory filings, and exchange data — rather than whatever a sponsor wants amplified.
