Commodities Unfiltered covers precious metals, uranium, copper, platinum-group metals, and rare earths. This page sets out how we source, write, and correct our work — the standard we hold ourselves to, and the one you can hold us to.
Primary sources only
Our reporting is built on primary documents: company earnings calls and transcripts, regulatory filings, technical reports, official production and guidance figures, central-bank and government data, and exchange inventories and pricing. When we cite a number or a claim, it traces back to a source you could open yourself. We do not build analysis on bullion-dealer blogs, promotional newsletters, or unsourced secondhand summaries.
Independence
We are not paid to cover any company, project, or product, and no advertiser or affiliate relationship influences our conclusions. Our revenue is disclosed in our Affiliate Disclosure and kept entirely separate from editorial decisions.
Analysis, not advice
We publish research and commentary, not investment advice. Our job is to explain what operators said, what the filings show, and where the supply chain is under stress — not to tell you what to buy. See our Terms of Use.
Accuracy and corrections
We check figures against their source before publishing. When we get something wrong, we fix it and note the correction rather than quietly editing it away. If you spot an error, tell us through the contact form and we will review it promptly.
Transparency about uncertainty
Commodities markets run on incomplete information. Where something is an estimate, a projection, or our own interpretation of the data, we say so, and we distinguish it from what a company or filing states directly.
How pieces are produced
Each article is researched from the underlying documents and written and reviewed by a person. We may use software tools to help gather and organize source material, but editorial judgment, sourcing, and the final word are human.
